Hello again. . .
It seems way too much time has passed since I last ventured into Blogland. It has been a busy year.
We had been empty nesters for a year. It was quiet. Too quiet. Then about 18 months ago, our youngest daughter and her husband and son (then 18 months old), needed a temporary place to stay while they were house hunting. So we welcomed them home, and had our lives taken over by Brody Boy! He has brought so much life and happiness into this once quiet house. And last spring, he was joined by his little sister, Lucy, who is now 11 months old. So needless to say, never a dull moment!
This business of adding another entire family to our home, meant a lot of rearranging, and storing things to make room for them. In other words, some chaos for a while! We are still moving things around, and trying to make it the most functional that we can.
This weekend, and last, we spent trading spaces in a major way. We moved all of my sewing supplies to a room downstairs, and moved the home gym upstairs, so it was more accessible to me. (I am handicapped, so the stairs sometimes present a problem. Therefore, I don't exercise as often as I need to, or want to.) This way, it's now on the same floor, and we also created a play area under the stairs for the kids to hide out in, and occupy them, while Mommy works out or cooks dinner. We still have some finishing touches to do-trim on the windows, and curtains, but I am so excited to have it upstairs once again!
What about you? Do any of you have a home gym? Or do you go out to exercise? Show me your pictures!

I can hardly believe that we are just 2 days away from March, and just weeks away from daylight savings time, and spring--especially Easter! Today in Michigan we have a wonderful 52 degrees! It has been a short and mild winter this year, which is a nice break from our usual blizzards! Not to say that we are out of the woods yet! We've been known to have a freeze in June before!
However, I have been working hard this month on my new Spring Line of Tea Towels for my shop. And I must say they are gorgeous! The hardest part of creating something you love, is not wanting to keep it all for yourself! I choose fabrics I would love to have in my own home, as well as prints that are trending now, that I know other people love. But each item is made with precision and care, to last you for many years to come. And something you will be proud to display in your home.
I've heard it said that you can think of your Tea Towels as the equivalent of a throw pillow, as far as decorating goes. They are a quick and easy way to change up the colors and mood in your kitchen.
So what do you think so far? Are you loving them as much as I am? And this is just the beginning! I have many more ready for the photo shoot, and many more to sew. . . So keep checking in at the shop, and back here for updates! www.sydneykathryns.etsy.com
Gotta finish a special order today, then hang the new mirrors that arrived from Though the Country Door yesterday. They are so stunning--I can't wait to share them with you. We have been re-doing our master bedroom this year-it had been the same for over 10 years, so it was time for a change!

Sunny Smiles!
I've just got to say, this one made me smile instantly! I LOVE the blue and yellow combination!
Look at all the great choices! From Nikes, to a wallet, and I just gotta have that Dart Frog! He could live in my house any day!
And look--that apron (for happy cooking) totally matches my dishcloths! There's even a blue pitcher for the milk, and the banana will go on a bowl of cereal.
Lots of other goodies to brighten your day, too!

Reflections
Still rather speechless tonight. I've spent the past 24+ hours praying and grieving for the devastation in Oklahoma; as I'm sure the rest of you are, too. Most of us cannot even begin to fathom what they are experienceing right now. If we at home can feel such intense emotions just seeing it from a distance, we know their reality is just of unspeakable maginitude.
The houses, businesses, schools, and hospitals with so much destruction. Our hearts go out to each person, each family, near and far affected by this storm.
And yet there is rejoicing to be heard, for those lives that were spared, for their spirit of staying strong. It was said best on a simple sign, "We'll be Okay."
Yes, OK, we believe you will be. And we will carry you in our hearts, praying for you without ceasing,

Sweet, Soothing Pink and Gray....
My Tuesday Treasury features one of my Travel Tissue Holders, sporting a cute little French Poodle, and the Eiffel Tower!
Loving the softness, the calming and soothing sensations of this color combination, pink and gray. I think I want a room in my house in these colors...but then I'd have to either repaint a room, or add on to the house!
Actually, my office is a sweet shade of mocha or cocoa that has a hint of pink in it. I love being in that room.... (Pictures to come in the future.)
Gray has established itself as a neutral, and I'm seeing lots of great room makeovers with gray as the main color.
Does anyone have any makeovers they'd like to share in either of those colors? What about other products in your Etsy stores?
